Lorin Groshong, Master of Music
Raised in the Rogue Valley, Lorin is a lifelong musician with a Master’s degree in Music (oboe performance) from Southern Oregon University. While oboe will always be her first love, she performs professionally with other woodwind instruments as well.

Lorin plays oboe and english horn in the Elisian Woodwind Quintet, Coloratura Reed Quintet, Rogue Valley Symphony, Rogue Valley Symphonic Band, and the Ashland City Band. She also plays multiple woodwinds for musical theater productions, which has included the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Camelot Theatre, and the One Eleven Theatre Company.

Some of her past highlights include performing Handel’s Messiah in Chicago’s famed Orchestra Hall, being the oboist in Natalie Merchant’s orchestra at the Britt Festival, and performing in elite stage bands for Head Over Heels and Once On This Island at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival
